Cue list 2 on submaster

Question

I would like to have a second cue list running an effect in a loop in the background. I have never done this. If I put this second cue list on a submaster, I should be able to fade it in and out, I can imagine?

yes, you can put a second cuelist on a fader und do everything that you can do with a cuelist on the main playback fader pair. 
 just a small note regarding vocabulary: a submaster, like a cuelist is a type of content you can put on a fader. so, no, you can't put a cuelist on a sub. but just like you can assign a sub to a fader, you can also assign a cuelist to a fader.

Something to consider: Element consoles (in case that's what you're using) only have 1 cuelist. So in that case (and maybe also on other consoles) you might also want to look into using effects rather than a looped cuelist.
