Is there a way to lock the show and prevent edits once we're in production?
No there isn't. If you still think this would make a valuable addition to the Eos software, please head over to the Feature Request section.
Maybe you can try to set the show files you want to protect in read only mode. This must done in the file browser and can different by OS.
