Layering Cue Stacks as an Effect

Hi,

I have a bunch of GLP X4 Bar 20s that I’m trying to run an effects sequence over, all timed with OSC triggers, but struggling to find the best way to achieve the following:

Essentially, I want to have a base state, and then a cue stack in which individual cells highlight (with intensity and colour data) before restoring back into the base state; a sort of ripple of single cells in a particular sequence. This will happen many times (4 sets of 10 ripples, locked down to a particular order). 

I had tried to have the base state in the main cue stack and a separate cue stack for the ripples, but the zero data in the secondary stack overrules the base state.

 Is there a smart way of building this, so that the base state can be easily edited and tracked through?
