"Assert" and "Bump" key on virtual fader.

 Thank you Anne. I thick I would know more about the usage of submaster.

The fader can be selected as submaster, playback or grandmaster at fader configuration page. If a fader is operated as a submaster with opening up the virtual fader page by typing the "Alt 1" on external keyboard. For example, Sub 1 contains channel 1 at full ,however the "Assert" and "Bump" buttons of Sub 1 virtual fader seem not working fine while I was clicking each of them. Apart from that the bump button of physical Sub 1 fader can bump up the "intensity of Channel 1 and "what is the function of second buttons which located at the top of bump button?" Does it work as a solo?

How to implement this second bottons when assigned fader as a submaster?

  • Kelvin.... well, at the moment, the virtual faders are a little behind in the user interface than the physical faders.  This will be addressed in 1.3.   Since submasters are HTP, the assert function of the sub (Assert and Load) doesn't really make much since - as the only thing that matters in this instance is the highest input.  Assert will come into play more for submasters when they have an LTP (last takes precedence) setting.  

    Right now, the bottom button is the bump button.  It can also be assigned timing, so you can have the sub fade in over time when the button is pressed.  If the dwell time is "hold", the contents of the submaster will remain active until the button is pressed again.  When pressed again, the submaster will fade out.  The way timing is assigned is:  [Sub] [n] [Time] (enter the timing value for the upfade now) [Time] (enter the dwell time.... it can be any value.... or you will see the softkeys change to Hold or Manual.  If you place a Hold, the contents of the submaster will be active until the bump button is pressed again.  If you place a Manual, the contents of the submaster will be active only as long as the bump button is held down.  Or you can enter a time, which will only apply the submaster at full value for that amount of time).  Press [Time] again and enter a downfade time.  

    The button above the bump button (which is Stop/Back) when the fader is a playback, will....someday.... be a solo button.  We just haven't gotten around to that yet.
