Icelandic special keys don't work on mac

Hi, keys like Í, Ó, Ú and similar won't work on my mac's physical Icelandic keyboard, but they work in the software on screen keyboard. This is a rather big annoyance when I label stuff from my mac rather than my Ti. Works great on PC.
