Even if you enable a certain protocol in the shell or the new Setup->Device Settings->Network tab under "Output Protocols" it can still be that in Patch you cannot select a certain output protocol in Patch->Patch under "Interface". You have to make sure the output protocol is also enabled in the Patch->Protocols->sACN/ArtNet/Local DMX tab.
This is confusing. Maybe it is due to the fact that I work off off an existing show file that was created using an older version of the software. If ETC wants to avoid enabling protocols that were not enabled using the older software, it would have been better to disable the protocol in Patch->Patch under "Interface", and make the outputs in the new Protocols tab mimic the settings that are made in the Shell/Settings.
It took me quite a while to figure this one out!
