fixture profiles in library - to update or not

Just watched the Eos 3.2 software video, and am ridiculously excited that I can not only change the clock from outside the shell, but so far, it is staying accurate!  But to my question.

In patch, all of my venue fixtures have an asterix beside them, indicating they have an update available.  I have avoided doing this, out of fear it will mess something up that I can not go back and fix.  A number of the fixtures now have a colour picker symbol beside them, which according to the video means improved colour calibration.  I assume that I have to update the profile to get this.  Is it a good idea in general to update the profile of fixtures when it is available, assuming you are not in the middle of a show run?  Has anyone run into something evil by updating profiles in the library, and if so will going back to a previous save go back to the old profile?  Many thanks!

  • If you do a one by one Update, the Software will tell you what has changed. And you can than say yes or no.

And the Fixture-personalitys, used in your Show, are always stored into the Showfile.
So if it is not to your likeing, load an "older" Showfile and you are back to what you used before the Update.

The Color-calibration-Symbol is only a indicator to show you that there is calibrated Data in the Desk.
It was there before. It is now more clear whitch Fixture has it and whitch not.
You do not need any further doing for that.
