CIE Encoder Display buttons Not registering into Macro [Mac Nomad]

Hey y’all!

I’m currently working on some new color macros and I’ve discovered that when working offline on my Mac (M1 if that matters), I’m unable to record the buttons CIE X and CIE Y into my macro.

Specifically, this is an issue in the macro editor. When learning the macro, it registers the button input and records it. This is my current workaround, but isn’t ideal (I’m making a pretty length macro and using the editor helps me keep track as I go and make changes).

Mainly just seeing if this is a known issue or bug and if there are any better workarounds! (And for those curious this is to make a bunch of color palettes in my Auto Palette sequence for the non reference-able 2700k-6500k standard colors)

thank y’all!

  • I tried to do this and had errors on a variety of operating systems

    • M2 Sequoia 15.2 - 3.1.1 Build 120
    • Intel Big Sur 11.7.10 - 3.1.0 Build 282
    • Intel Windows 10 - Downloaded 2.9.2, 3.0.1, 3.1

I noticed a CIE_XYY option in the macro editor, but haven't figured out a syntax to replicate this

Would love to know if you have found any workarounds

  • Sorry to be this delayed.

The workaround I found was while they didn't record into the macro editor. They did record when using the {Learn} state.

It's a little silly, but I counted out my macro, knowing I'd need 26 lines of "CIE X" and "CIE Y," and learned a Macro of me hitting: [CIE X] [CIE Y] [ENTER] 26 times, then went and edited the info I wanted around those keys in the Macro.

Not the cleanest workaround, but It got me where I needed to go at the time.

Let me know if that help!
