Effects 901-918 cannot be deleted

It looks like the base effects can't be deleted or moved. I can change the effects to be something else, I can edit the circle effect to be non-circular just fine, but I can't delete or move it. It feels like the console is betraying me when this happens, there is no feedback or message, the effect is just still there afterwards..

If the intended behavior is "you must have some kind of effect in 901-918", I feel like there needs to be a message or a "you can't delete that effect" or something, instead of the "silently ignores the user" that we have currently.

Those effects are the default set of effects, so they cannot be deleted. When you "delete" them, it resets them to their default values. This is explained in the manual under "Deleting Effects."

While it is expected behavior, it acts different from deleting user created effects, which is the same input command.

I feel as Taylor suggest, there should be a message for clarity, along the lines of "Reverted effect(s) in range 901-918 to defaults". Probably in the same area the red learn text shows up when learning macros. Probably cleared once you start typing another command.

I do see that note now. So at least it's documented, but still a little jarring before you have time to go do research on it.

I think the preferred behavior would be to just keep those shapes prerecorded and available in the effects editor, which they of course already are.
