  • Howdy Gilberto,

my appologies for the problem with your Ion console. As this seems to be a more complicated problem,

you need to contact your local dealer, or your nearest ETC Tech Services Department:

For technical support in the Americas, please call 608/831-4116, or toll-free in the U.S. at 800/688-4116.
For technical support in Europe, please call (+44) 20 8896 1000.
For technical support in Germany, please call (+49) 8024 4700-0
For technical support in Asia, please call (+852) 2799 1220.

  • "Unmountable Boot Volume" means that the Ion tried to start up from a disk that didn't work right.

There are two causes for that:

    1. There was a USB stick left in the console and it tried to boot from that instead of the internal hard drive.
    2. There was an error when trying to access the internal hard drive.

So, try removing any USB sticks (if you've left any in), then try booting again.

If it works second time, then call Tech Services and let them know it happened. There might be some errors on the disk that can be repaired by running a program that's pre-installed on the console (CHKDSK), or it could be that the Boot settings need checking to ensure it always looks for the internal hard drive first.

If it doesn't work second time, call Tech Services and we'll be able to talk you through some tests and figure out the best way to get you up and running again.

For the Americas, it's +1 608 831-4116 as Corey mentioned above.

  • If you need to reinstall Windows. How am I to reinstall the drivers and EOS?

  • Hi Gilberto,

you won't ever need to install just Windows. You can either just reinstall the software

update EOS, or if you need to set your entire console back to Factory Settings, Tech Services will

    assist you in this.

Have you contacted your local dealer, or ETC Tech Services yet?
