Creating and exporting custom profiles

Question

Hi all 
 I need to create a new fixture profile and export it to send it to a customer to control a new fixture. 
 Is that viable? I already did the profile, but I don't know if its posible to export the file and load it in another console.

The simplest thing would be to just send them your showfile. This will include all fixture profiles created in this show. 
 Of course this means that the recipient also uses an Eos Family console.

Yes. when merging there are two options: 
 
 Choose the merge category Fixtures. This will bring in all fixture types from a showfile. If the showfile you sent to your client only has this single profile that would be a clean solution. If there is other stuff in there as well, maybe choose the next option. 
 For this you will need to have one channel patched as your new profile. In Merge > Advanced choose Patch, in Start put your channel address, in End put it again. If this channel number is already taken in their current show they can specify an empty channel. It works best if that one channel in your showfile isn't patched to an address, because this would merge as well and could potentially steal the addresses from another channel.
