Network port 1 does not initialize

Good afternoon

When starting the console, appears a warning saying that network port 1 does not initialize. "waiting for network Port 1 (192.168.254.89) to initialize"

What does this mean, what are the consequences and how can I fix it?

Thanks

  • It likely means you're connected to an energy-efficient switch that powers down its network port when not in use.

The console needs to see an active network to communicate with network-attached devices.

Under Settings/Device/Network enable the Required check box for the network interface you are connecting on. This setting is also available in the shell under Maintenance/Network for releases prior to 3.2.?.

You will still see the warning box but it will go away once the network port wakes ups.
