Effects on multicell fixtures

Question

We are getting some multicell batten fixtures soon and would like to have some instruction in how to program colour effects across the cells in the fixture. Can anyone please point me to any training videos or suggest where I could look to get knowledge to do some effects.

It all happens in the syntax: 
 Chan 1 = master and cells Chan 1 [Shift]&[.] = master only Chan 1 [.] 0 = cell 0 = master only Chan 1 [.] = all cells 
 Chan 1 Thru 10 Effect 917 Enter will run the effect channel by channel 
 Chan 1 Thru 10 . Effect 917 Enter will run the effect cell by cell over all channels
