Record Cue

 Whenever you press record, the console captures and records all intensity levels and parameters (including channels that are not manually captured, such as levels from submasters , or other cue  lists, etc.), so that may be what is causing your non-manual channels to appear in cues. If you use Update, instead of record, the console will only add manually controlled channels to the cue. (of course, that only works if you already have an existing cue to update).

With regards to the cue 0.1, I would try deleting the 0.1 and making a 0.5 instead. I've  had strange problems with cues numbered as 0.1.

Also, is there some reason you are setting all levels to 0 in the first cue? That may be causing some strange behavior, you could try making the first cue of your show an "assert" instead of making all the levels hard zeros. This would achieve the same goal, and may help with some of the strange behaviour.

---So I am programming a show right now and am have a problem with the Record cue feature.  I am curious if anyone else has had this issue before.  So I have a 0.1 with all show channels at a hard 0.  Works fine, no issue  Start to build my show and noticed that if I use Record cue I get extra channels into that cue, the funny thing is that the Desk doesn't show that those extra channels had any man. values when I recorded that cue.  Now if I am in the same setting and use RecordOnly I don't get any of those extras.  So i've been using Only as often as possible, but can't always do it that way.  Never noticed this issue before.  Also on another note if I am sitting in 0.1 and press sneak, nothing happens, press sneak again and some chnls. turn red and sneak even though they weren't man. before this.  Every second press of sneak moves man values for some chnls that didn't have any man. data to begin with.  ?????---

Ryan, if you are adding all of your channels into your first cue via record, ALL of your channels now belong to that cue list and will have SOME value in each and every cue you record from that point.    If you never bring them up, they will track forward through your cue list at zero.  So, I'm not sure what you mean by "extra channels."  

Reviewing the record logic:

Record - stores all lights in use (regardless of their source, and stores ALL parameters associated with those channels, even those you've never touched.

Record Only - stores only manual values to cues.  (Remembering the desk is a tracking desk, therefore any channels that are not manual, but have data in the previous cue will track in at their previous value.)  

Update - stores only manual values to cues.  Preserves references by default and can only be applied to existing cues.

I'm pretty unclear on what you are seeing, so more information would be useful.

We've not heard of any instances with sneak as you describe.  The next time you see it, could be please send us your show file, the log file from the desk you saw it on with an approx date and time?

I've sent Josh all my info on this, i am still waiting to hear back from him.  Whats happens is I  record cue and i get extra channels recording in the cue tht i haven't moved or changed.  Ex:  Sitting in cue 1 with 6 channels up. (the only 6 active on my flexi screen)  I add ch 1 @ 10, press record cue 2 enter.  That puts me in cue 2, the problem is that now instead of having 7 active channels on my screen.  I get 201>212 the 532>534 saying that something or all Nips have moved even though they haven't.  Josh has my show file if you want it, or I can resend it you

Like Anne said, if you put "all" your channels in cue .1, then all those channels are going to be tracking through that cuelist. If you want a cuelist that only ever affects channels 1thru 5, you shouldn't have ANY channels other than 1-5 in ANY cue of that cuelist, including cue .1. The easiest way, or, at least, the most thorough way to deal with this & be sure you got it right is in the Spreadsheet format in Blind.

This is whats happening:  I have recorded a 0.1, which contains every patched channel at home and 0.  So I blind cue 1  put   1>10 @ full

Live, Goto cue 1, no prob I only have 1>10 @ full on my (flexi active) screen.  Add 11 @ 50, press record 2 Ent.  Which puts me into cue 2, the problem is that I have only moved and added 1 channel into that cue yet my desk added many other channels with Nip data even though they haven't moved from their Home.

If I start with the same but use Record Only instead.  I goto cue2 and all that's moved is 11 @ 50, I don't get all those other channels saying that their Nips moved.

My thought would be that if not all of the NPs were in the first cue - when the second cue was recorded, it used the "if any bit has data, record the whole channel" logic and put the rest of the NPs in as a move.
