Screen Dimming on a Nomad and not "waking" back up

i'm running 3.2.3.19 on a newer PC laptop running windows 11 22H2 22621.2861. i have the laptop set to never go to sleep or dim its screen. after a period of time the screen dims and i cant get it to "wake" back up. i have to hard shut down the computer and restart.
i have sACNView running on a separate laptop and it appears that the EOS PC is still outputting after the screen dims. i also have a Swisson DMX tester plugged in to a Gadget and it is receiving DMX info as well. so it appears that EOS is still running in the background but the screen wont turn back on. i recreated this scenario on a brand new laptop, left EOS running over night and that computer locked up as well, but this time wont restart and appears to be bricked.
I'm running the same version of EOS on a different PC console running windows 10 with no problems ever. this is my first Nomad on a Windows 11 machine.
Anyone experience this?? i'm stumped.

  • this sounds crazy but the way i fixed the issue is that as i was trying all possible options to isolate it i opened a new showfile patched a couple fixtures and let it sit. . . . problem gone. then i did a merge into the new showfile with the pertinent data from the one that was locking up the screen. so was the issue within my other showfile?? bizzare, never seen anything like this.
