Some Effects questions

I can select a channel, and run multiple effects on it. ie: [4][EFFECT][901]<enter> [EFFECT][910]<enter>

How do I stop only one of the effects? [EFFECT]<enter> stops all running effects.

Also, why can't I select multiple effects?  ie [4][EFFECT][901][+][910]

And, if I have an effect running, what is the simplest way to save as a new effect, so that the new effect is now the running effect?

Thanks

  • 1. Well I don't think you can explicitly stop a single specific effect on a channel, at least, if you can, I'm not quite sure how to do it...BUT, you can specify filters/parameters regarding where to stop the effect. E.g., if you have Effect 1 running on the Intensity Parameter, and Effect 2 running on one or more Color Parameters, you can do: Chan xxxx Color Effect Enter, and that will stop the effects running on all Color Parameters. I assume that would work all the way down to the individual parameter level using filters.

    2. I have no idea

    3. I don't think there is a simple way to do this. I think you have to copy the effect, and then re-select the channels & apply the effect to it. I'm sure you could write a clever macro that could help you. But that's my solution to everything.
