Absolutely you can run LED fixtures. It takes a little learning on how to control them but once they are patched (selecting the correct model and mode from the fixture library) it is quite easy using the ML (moving light) controls which on the relement 2 is a little icon top right of your screen that looks like beams of light.
Once you are set up I suggest you create a few colour pallets for easy colour recalling and then you are on your way. Select the ficxture and give it intensity and colour.

To patch lights that are "more complicated" than conventional tungsten lights run from dimmers: Eos Video Tutorial (Level 1, Chapter 1).
One important thing to note: It's now helpful to understand that the channel number of a light can be different from its DMX address. Maybe you've already patched your previous lights so far, but you didn't have to because they occupied only one DMX address.
If you struggle with information in the video or get stuck don't hesitate to reach out again!
In one of the Theatres I work in, in addition to a 96 Dimmer Rack, we run twenty-one of the 'ETC Source Four LED Series 2' and three 'ETC Relevé Spot Moving' lights, along with a Hazer and a Fog Machine using an ETC Element 2. So, yes you can run both at the same time on the Element 2, no problem.
