editing moving light effect?

So I'm trying to change the range of the spiral effect for moving lights (mac 250s if it makes a difference). Changing the scale hasn't made a difference, is there a way to do this or am I out of luck?

I tried it and it worked for me. I used effect 906 and changed it from the default scale of 25 to 100 which produced a much larger spiral.

Are you trying to do this spiral really fast, are you giving the moving light enough time to react?
