Default ordering of feature request

Currently, the default ordering for feature requests is: All Ideas -> With any open status -> By Highest Score -> Descending.

In my opinion, this makes it harder for new, but good ideas to get upvotes, whereas the ideas with already a lot of upvotes get even more votes.

In other ways, presenting the feature request in this way by default could slow down innovation, instead of accelerating it.

Would you consider changing this default to: All ideas -> With any open status -> By date -> Descending?

  • And also removing the barrier between devs and users. Seems like they have like 1 developer working for them and they don't communicate with the outside world except through a work order portal deep within ETC. I know it's not open-source, but still, I have never once seen any indication from any employee account on here that goes anything like, "I found the problem in the code and fixed it." Everything is, yes, I can reproduce the problem (but don't ask me to actually go into the source code to solve the problem), and I will write up a bug report.

I know this is pretty common for larger companies, but it just seems like it's not the worst thing in the world for there to be less of a wall.
