Upgrading to 1.9 questions

Hi ETC.  If the amount and scope of changes warrant calling this upgrade ONLY 1.9, the changes for 2.0 must be huge!  WOW!

I do have some questions about 1.9, however:

With the [Swap] key being used for [Tab], is there a replacement key?  Do I contact you, or my local dealer?

Updating the firmware for 2x10 wings: I have multiple 2x10 wings on a console (hardwired).  the upgrade instructions says to repeat for each 2x10.  Does this mean I need to run the firmware upgrade twice on one console?  How does the console know which 2x10 is left to upgrade?

I've looked at the 1.9 video on Youtube, and I understand (sort of) HOW to use the new [Update] commands.  I'm lost on WHY or WHEN (conceptually) for these changes.  Can someone give me some examples of why people wanted these?  Is {By-type} just faster than building a group of the same instruments, and then dialing in the CP for all of them? (I don't have much in the way of DMX devices).

Thanks.

I'm assuming you connect them on-by-one, run update individually for each wing, un-plug/dis-attach, connect 2nd wing, update, etc...  keeping track of which wing is updated.

Or does step 5 "see" all the attached wings and lets you pick ?

I also read somewhere (can't find it now) that there's a replacement console key labeled "Tab" replacing the Swap and that it can be ordered
