ION and Mac's

I have recently acquired an EOS -ION console for a university theatre... I've had numerous recommendations on how easy it was to use both for pro-technicians and for students and that it is, now for my problem.

For some reason/s I cannot get it to talk to my MAC moving heads. I have tried different DMX universe configurations, tested the lines with a DMX tester, tried different lighting consols and it all worked, aexcept through the ION so please, please, please can ANYBODY help!!!

    Which MAC moving heads are you using? They have quite an extensive range.

    A lot of the older MAC moving lights with 3-pin 'DMX' connectors had reversed polarity to the DMX standard and so would need pins 2 and 3 swapping over from the standards-compliant output of the Ion console - connect pin 2 of the Ion DMX output to pin 3 of the Mac input and vice versa.
