Scrollers and Channels

Hello,

So, were working on an Ion with the latest software, (i did not install the update, but watched it happen yesterday) . The show was programmed with 30 scrollers, but they were programmed on their own as scrollers, not as parts in a channel. So, they are not auto-marking even thought that feature is turned on.

Rather than reprogramming the show, is there a way to update our cues that the scrollers were in if we now re patch them in channels as parts?

Example, in what we have now

CHN 1 = Scroller address 401 - CHN 61 = Address 40

Change to

CHN 61 Part 1 address 40 CHN 61 Part 2 Scroller Address 401

If we do this, are we able to transfer the scroller data and channel data from our first show file so that we avoid reprogramming the whole show?

  • I would go the other way and add a part 2 to channel 1 to add the dimmer / Intensity to the scroller channel.  Then in blind copy all the intensities over.

    e.g. in Patch

    chan 1 [part][2][at][40][Enter]

    Then in Blind

[Cue] [1] [thru] [ last cue number ] [enter]

    [61] [copy to] [1] [enter]

This will merge all the information of 1 and 61 into 1 for your entire cue list.

at that point auto mark will work and you can delete channel 61 from your show.

    Does that work for you?
