Eos / Ion offline installer - force install into partitioned harddrive?

I've recently downloaded the Eos family offline installer and am a little disappointed in how 'idiot proof' it is - My various computers are partitioned, and in order to maintain my organization (because we lighting professionals like that so much), I'd like to install the program on a non-C:\ drive.

Is there a way to force the installer to execute onto a specific partition ... say, "M:\"?  Perhaps a flag or other setting if running the executable on a command line?

(Windows 7 64bit, 4gig RAM, 250g+ hard drive remaining, Intel Core2, 2.20GHz)

Any help is appreciation.

Many thanks.

Paul

  • Already tried that - still defaults to C:\.  I've also tried running in compatibility mode with various legacy OS's - didn't give me an option to change target directory, either.

I attempted a command-line prompt (Setup.exe /s /v"/qn INSTALLDIR=M:\Program Files\ETC\EOSOL" - as well as using the full program name instead of 'setup.exe'), but it just installed onto C:\, and then gave me an error because it was unsigned.

My current strategy centers on installing onto C:\, moving the program and then editing the .ini files to point at the correct targets.  Not the smoothest process - I'll post if it works.

(The Expression installer does /not/ have this issue)
