Step Based Effects - Variable Cycle Time on Fader?

Can anybody tell me if there is a way to assign a step-based-effect's cycle time to a sub? So with the chase running you are able to speed up or slow down by moving the fader? If not is what is the best way to achieve this manual cycle time? Is there anything like the Strand 500 series' time button which allowed timings to be controlled on the intensity wheel?

Thanks!

  • Myles, Currently there is no way to assign a time to a sub. The easiest way to edit the rate of the effect is to clear you command line and tap [effect] once. This will bring up your Effect Status Display (ESD). Within the ESD you will find a listing of all of your active effects, their sources and a list of attributes that you can edit on the fly. These attributes are also mapped to your encoders. For a step-based effect there will only be rate and you can easily manipulate this for your desired speed.
