Every time there is talk of “taking this show to Broadway” , it usually means the designer will be reluctant to use the EOS marking mechanism. These designers want to mark lamps “old school” with special parts for each fixture type. One reason is data portability . In this situation, when I record a new preset for a fixture I want be able to record it to a new cue part and have it track thru the multitude of block cues as well My current solution is the following command: Chan 1 AllNPs Record Only Cue 1 Part 10<Enter> Chan 1 AllNps: Update Cue 1 Thru (current cue) <Enter> I would rather do this: Chan 1 AllNPs Record Only Cue 1 Part 10 Thru Cue (current cue)<Enter> Unfortunately, the console throws an error when I press the thru key. Clearly the command parser is trigger happy and should let me press “Cue” as the next key (I know I can‘t record to multiple parts). This kind of syntax is legal on other consoles.
