Does ION offline accept MSC?

Question

I was trying to use MusicLab's "MIDI over LAN CP" to do some offline programming of a show but I can't get the offline client to respond to any MIDI stimulus. Is it supposed to, or is MSC tied to the physical MIDI inputs on the console?

Eos/Ion Offline does not have any interaction with gateways except the possibility of visualizer output of level data. Show Control and I/O gateways communicate with online primary processors when correspondingly configured. 
 Combine this with Richard's answer and you see that offline does not listen to or transmit MIDI in any format. Primary consoles provide the facility for that communication in networked systems.
