Element Classic

Question

A couple of questions... 
 Working in a new venue starting next week and they have an Element Classic. Trying to figure out which version (operating system). I found the diagrams to see which Ion based on in I/O, but how can you tell which Element it is? 
 Also, the Element is running 2.9.2 Build 8, and has a fixture library 2.9.2.14. I am not sure I will be able to update it, but I am hoping to bring in a dozen Source 4WRD Color II's for use on the show. Is there a way to see what is in each build in terms of fixtures without having the console in front of me?

No, you absolutely cannot install a newer fixture library on top of an older software. 
 But you can use a current 3.2.9 version of Nomad ("Eos on PC/Mac") to patch a fixture, save the showfile in the older file format and then use this showfile to transport the new fixture profile (not the new library) to your console running the older version.

 You can always bring newer fixture profiles to your console running an older version: instructions in this support article: https://support.etcconnect.com/ETC/Consoles/Eos_Family/Software_and_Programming/Merging_Eos_v3x_Fixture_Profiles_into_v29x
