Thank you.  I didn't realize it was the same as an Ion.  It is a BCM with Windows XP only, so that is unfortunate.  

I didn't realize that you could have a newer fixture library.  Confirming, I can load the new, current fixture library in  2.9.2?  

No, you absolutely cannot install a newer fixture library on top of an older software.

But you can use a current 3.2.9 version of Nomad ("Eos on PC/Mac") to patch a fixture, save the showfile in the older file format and then use this showfile to transport the new fixture profile (not the new library) to your console running the older version.

As long as I am already asking too many questions, do you have a link to the instructions to saving the showfile in the older file format?
