Eos Motor Control Profile

I’m trying to see if it’s possible to control a stepper motor using the Ion and a DMX decoder. In my head it makes sense but I can’t get my head around writing a patch profile for the motor. I’ve been trying to follow along to someone’s old post but I’m having a hard time with it.

Just some thoughts...
Isn't in a lot of movinglights a stepper motor installed? (pan and tilt, just du name two...)
So the DMX is eighter 8bit or 16bit.

And while you write your own profile, you can call the parameter what ever you like.
For the Desk, in the end, it is only DMX.
