Looking for Tips to Convert Gel Combinations to S4 LED Lighting on Eos

Hello,

for a show that was previously using tungsten and will now be using S4 LED, I need to translate the gels. However, the designer sometimes stacked multiple gels (e.g., Lee 202 + Lee 117).

Is there a tip for finding the equivalents in Eos or on an external site?

Thanks in advance.

  • There are ways to mimic for instance a 4-cell tungsten cyclorama batten with LED fixtures. (Where you assign different gels to the 4 cells and mix intensities.)

But for this particular case I would put one S4 led on Lee 117 and one on Lee 202, look at the resulting color and make a new color palette with a third fixture.

Even better: let the designer make a new color palette as the quality of the light will be way different with a S4 led.
