Recall From affecting the channel Recalled From

I've noticed this behavior recently and I think it is relatively new.

When I use [Recall From] to pull in information that includes FX, the channel being used for reference is also manipulated.  I don't remember this behavior previously.

In the attached video, a Cue is running with (4) tubes (Ch #5,6,7,8) using an interleaved 917 FX on their pixels.  Asking a 5th tube (Ch#1) to "Recall From" causes the referenced tube (Ch#5) to change its behavior.  Channel #5 Cells are now showing Manual Selection.

Thanks for taking a look.

  • Thank you for bringing this up.

What you're seeing looks like an oversight ineracting with a limition of the Eos software.

    • The oversight: recalling from the channel level of a multicell channel doesn't behave the same as recalling from a non-MC channel
    • The limitation: Eos can only run one instance of an effect which means when recalling the new channels have to be integrated into the current channel list that's being used to run the effect

The interaction of the two results in the all cells of the new channel ending up in the same subgroup as the last cell of the channel you've recalled from, while at the same time knowing the cells of the channel you've recalled from out of the existing subgroups.

I'll investigate further and will let you know here what we find out.
