Record Cue with Single Cycle FX Not Working

Running a Gen1 Gio, 3.2.9 b16

I have been recording cues from the base of other cues that contain standard infinite running effects and effects that only have 1 cycle.

When the new cue is recorded the resulting cue does not include the data/reference for the single cycle effects. The standard effects are fine and record correctly.

  • You do not need to enter blind. You can simply revisit your cue, apply the fx and update it.

I try to explain what i see.
The FX is a 1 Cycle, so after the cycle had run, it is finished and not activ any more.
The confusing part is, that the FX is still listed in the FX window and in Live it is notated.
But it had stoped allready and is gone.

if you make a copy of the cue, the FX will come along.

I can not say if that is on purpose, but i can somehow understand the current behavior.

  • I understand your line of thinking.

However, record behaviour is meant to take everything, and the effect data as you say displays and is listed as active playback or manual data.

The work around is 100% copy the cue or use blind. But that does add a lot of extra keystrokes and does remove a very useful feature of being in a cue and then applying edits, and recording that as something else.
