Have reported this before, but it's still in 3.2.9.16:
With some fixtures, I can't block parameters in cues if SOME of the parameters of the fixture are changing.(ie. if some parameters show blue, some purple).
So in blind:
cue 1 enter
1 ALLNPS BLOCK ENTER
Parameters that are not changing do not show as blocked (in white), which is what I'd expect and what used to happen.
1 ALLNPS BLOCK ENTER again (just to make sure the first didn't unblock)
Parameters still do not show as blocked.
Workaround
In blind go to next cue (where nothing is changing on the fixture, all purple), chan BLOCK enter - all show in white, then go to the proviso cue and go chan ALLNPS RECALL FROM CUE NEXT enter.
Fixture now shows correctly, some parameters changing (blue), others blocked (white).
When I previously reported I suspected this might be due to a fixture where the fixture had previously been a different type of fixture. In this showfile that's possible, but the fixture change was a long time ago (this is a showfile that gets dragged out every year).
It's been suggested to me that there is work going on behind the scenes to preserve data from parameters that were previously deleted (ie. if the old fixture type had 'zoom' but the new fixture type didn't). I wonder if this is related to that. It really feels like some part of the software thinks some parameters are already blocked, so is not blocking any more, wheres some other part of the software doesn't know about those 'hidden' attributes and so won't unblock them - but because the first code then won't block anything because it thinks something is already blocked.
It's odd. But it's also REALLY annoying...
Thanks,
Rob.
