Martin TW1 profile

We just bought 40 TW1 80v fixtures. I have begun programming with them and noticed when I adusting my Color Palettes that the color picker doesn't contain the black bounding border. I assume this is just a problem with the profile(TW1 80v basic). I hope you can check it out.

  • I am no expert I only play one on tv but it is my understanding that the black is a representation of what colors are possible with the fixture.  I am not familiar with the TW1 but can assume Eos assumes it is capable of all colors.

  • From the EOS v1.7 manual, p. 124:

"If no black line is visible, the fixture has not yet been calibrated and the color matching will be approximated."

It's not a problem with the profile, per se, just that the output of a real-world fixture hasn't been measured to match console values to actual colors.  Most fixture profiles are built "sight unseen" using only the DMX info from the manufacturer as it's not possible to have a copy of every fixture available.
