Fixtures with Default FL show up in Flexi "Active"

Hello. In our base showfile we have some Stairville Multicell washers patched. The default state for the Subfixtures is FL which seems to cause them being shown in "Active" flexi state even without any Cues/subs stored. same with 1820 which is acustom profile for a power circuit that should never be off so it also has a default value of >0.

This seems counterintuitive for me because, if there is no cue stored, i would assume the active view should be empty.

Is this behaviour intended or is it just a quirk with how the fixture profile was written? My goal is to have a blank active view just for the sake of avoiding unnecessary clutter. How could i achieve that?

Thanks.

  • For the multicell fixture have a look at the Mastered Cells flag in the fixture editor. That tells the console that the cells are not an independent light source so if the master is at 0 also the cells will be considered inactive.

For the power circuit you could use regular home (i.e. at 0) with an inverted curve. And if you use one of the generic Non Dim profiles in the library the tombstone would even display a small ND to make them more easily recognizable.

  • thanks for the quick reply. Since im currently at the desk im ablte to verify that Mastered cells was the issue.

For power we usually use the generic non dim fixtures that are provided. Since im taking over this rig from a colleague im not sure why theres a custom fixture for this circuit. I'll have to double check that with him but thats not as big of an issue right now.
