I was reviewing the parameter limits on my Ion Classic and noticed that I was only about 80 away from the defined parameter limit, despite having only around 700 addresses actually patched. It also showed that I had only three unpatched channels—two 7-channel pars and one dimmer—so I went through my fixture groups, deleting them one at a time to identify what was adding the extra parameters.
It turned out to be my Chorus Line 8s in Extended mode. The master profile for this fixture is structured like this: Tilt @ DMX 1/2, Color Temp @ DMX 35, Color Mix @ DMX 36, etc. In the space between these parameters, the Pixel fixture is patched. It seems that even though the master fixture only has 13 parameters, it's consuming its full footprint (46 parameters), but without those extra parameters actually being "patched."
When I deleted all parameters except for Tilt, the extra defined parameters were removed. Is this a bug, or am I missing something about how this is supposed to work?
