Updating Intelligent lighting pan/tilt

Hello- have been a happy ION user for years.  However have 1 question.  On a previous console- Compulite Spark 4D there was a function they called Library.  There were three types I believe- focus, color and gobo.  If you recorded a focus library 1 with 2 spots on a podium lets say, then in the cue list every time you  used those two spots on the podium ( if you used focus 1 to call up the position then record cue) and position of the podium was moved all you had to do was update library focus 1 and all the cues would automatically update to the new position.  Is there such feature on the ION?

  • Yes - We call them 'Palettes', and they are a key feature of the Eos family of consoles, particularly when programming moving lights.

In the Eos family there are several different kinds of Palettes: Focus, Color, Beam and Intensity.

There is also a thing called a Preset, which allows you to combine multiple Palettes (and hard values) into a single re-usable reference item that you can use in the same way in your cues. (eg to have both Focus and Beam information in a single reusable and update-able item).

You can also use selective-store if you don't want to record all the (eg) Beam information into a Beam Palette - eg you only want the state of Gobo Wheel 1.

For more information, have a look in the Eos user manual in the "Storing and Using Palettes" and "Storing and Using Presets" chapters.
