Networking question - ION, iRFR, RVI

We do have one problem with our setup, every hour or so, the RVI will dump into a screen saying "Connection Established" and force us to click "Yes, synchonize".  This is, understandably, annoying.  I have changed the networking hardware into every possible configuration I can think of, but it still happens.  Here's my setup:

ION --> brand-new Netgear 10/100 switch --> one cable going to the RVI, one cable going to the Linksys running DD-WRT.  The Linksys is completely out of the direct chain.  I have changed out cables on every run.  In my other space, putting the Netgear between the ION and the Linksys solved the problem.  Is there a 'robustness' checkbox on the system? Is there a way to tell it to automatically default to 'yes, synchonize'?

Thanks!

  • I too am having the same problem, although every 2 or 3 times it will ask me to troubleshoot and reconnect.  This is I think the 3rd switch... the instalation company has a copy of the log files.  I am wondering if it might be the switch or the length of the run (I'm guessing 150 ft).  We also had a problem with the paradigm LCD in the booth rebooting by itself.  Which makes me think the switches are bad.  Thoughts??
