Issues with replying to forum

I tried replying to the email "thinking about buying an Ion", and tried quoting some of his text, interspersed with my answers.

The site seemed to not allow the reply because the quoted text block(s) were different from the original text.

Given the nature of the emails (with multiple questions), not being able to select which questions to answer makes clarity difficult.

Or did I miss /  muck something up.

Thanks.

Andrew

To intersperse your answer with a quote from another post, you should add a "\quote" in square brackets to 'stop quoting', and "quote" in square brackets to start quoting again.
    - Use square brackets instead of speech marks. I can't do that in this post because it'll think I'm quoting.

The quoting system isn't all that obvious unless you've been using internet forums for years, so don't feel bad!

You can quote from other places as well:

A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving...

The quoting system on the Community Forum is very similar to most other discussion boards, so it's a useful thing to remember if you frequent other fora.
