Copy To Group

Stefan, in most instances, the syntax of channel list copy to channel list (with or without groups included) is a way to copy channel data from one list to another.  So, I'm a bit concerned with this syntax behaving in one way in some displays and a different way in other displays.   

Sorry, don't think we will be able to accommodate this.  Best way to do this is from live with the record command or in the group list index.

Hi,

This is not exactly related to the original subject of this thread, but is sort of on similar lines. It may also be something that has been mentioned before, and have a good reason for not working. We just noticed that in Live, Group x Move to Group y throws up a syntax error. This isn't true in Live of Palettes, Cues, Presets etc, and is also something that works for Groups in the Blind Group screen. So it just seems logical to me that it would work in Live.

Hi Nadene.  At the moment, channel level move instructions are not supported - except in patch.  At the moment, Move to is for entire record targets.  Channel level move to is on the list.   Hoping to get it into 2.0.

That makes perfect sense. Perhaps a little vestige of Strand-thinking about Groups on my part, confusing them with Record Targets, instead of just essentially a channel selection... ;)
