Whisper color changer!

I not find of Compulite in the library (EOS) changer type" Whisper". Once a color changer for 2kw and 5kw.

Compulite Whisper B-2kW (130-002) 13 frames
Compulite Whisper C-5kW (130-003) 12 frames

When I try to build the unit myself, I get it not indicate that the colors are correct!

  • Hi Andy-

It seems like the best option for now would be to patch a Generic Scroller. You can then create a scroll roll under the Attributes section of Patch and include the correct colours. If you want fan control, simply patch a second part, type Generic Scroller Fan.

    Hope that helps-

  • Hi Luke

I have already tried a scroller on Generic generate and it works well as far as I can hit all the colors, but the colors do not run correctly. Then I changed the settings, then the first four colors correctly and go from there, the colors go wrong again. Calibration is no remedy as far as I can not calibrate at all.

  • I suspect the problem is with the various settings to enable different curves and/or Dark Gel. Can you confirm which mode it is in?

I would suggest running it in No Curve and Dark Gel Off - let the desk do the work. If you do have a dark double-wide gel, you can use an Effect to move it if you want.

  • as far as i know, they don't have a darkgel-option, or if they do, it's not switched on. we used the same settings as in the configuration of the previous lightboard and even tried applying ranges to the different colours. in patch there is no curve set.

when we try to move the colours in the scroller, they do, but we get several split ones. calibrating doesn't help because the calibrating range seems to be too small. for the first two or three frames it's ok, but then the aberration gets to big and i get already into the next frame while calibrating the current frame...

    ideas?

  • Do you make the Colordefinition within the ranges of the fixture definition,

or did you use the scrollereditor?

The problem with the scrollereditor is, that editor use an internel rangedefinition

which normaly devide the ranges in a linear way. The Compulitescrollers uses

    a very unlinear rangedefinition.

So make your rangedefinition in the scrollerparameter and leave the scrollerdefinition empty.

It should works until there is a library from etc.
