Triggering snapshots on Ion

Well, this is a rather odd way to do it, but it should work.  Store to an empty cue list (cue 10/1 for example) - but make sure there is no content in the cue.  And then put your snapshot it the execute list of that cue.   (10/1 execute Snapshot n). Since that will trigger the cue, if you are trying to do this repeatedly, you can link that cue back upon itself, so it will reload into pending.  The only thing that will happen when you hit go is the snapshot.

At some point, we will provide a means to redefine the behavior of the buttons, we just haven't gotten there yet.

It is a bit strange... but totally works!  The only problem is that it makes that cuelist active... so now I have to load my master cue list before recording any cues... not a huge deal, just another thing to remember.  I tried to work around that, by making a macro.... [snapshot] 1 [enter] [cue] 1/ [enter]..... then executed that macro with cue 1 on cuelist 10.... the macro fires the snapshot just fine, but it doesn't re-load cuelist 1.  Any thoughts??

Oh-  when I execute the macro manually it works perfectly.  For some reason though, when the macro is executed from the other cuelists it won't re-load cuelist 1.  Hmmmm....

If I might suggest something a little different.  How about an x-keys programmed to run snapshots.  They have several models with different number of buttons and are customizable.  

just a thought.

I did exactly that.
Using the x-keys (16 keys) as macro-buttons. i programmed the snapshot to be executed in macro's
works perfectly.
