USB Hub?

Today I was hooking up our brand new EOS console, and I was just looking for input into how I should connect all of the peripheral devices. There are only 4 USB ports on the back of the console, but I have 5 inputs: 2 Touchscreen monitors, 1 keyboard, 1 mouse, and 1 fader wing. Is a USB hub something that can be used? Or do you just plug one of the devices into one of the porst on the face?

Thanks for the input.

  • Thank you for the reply, but there are no PS2 ports on the EOS, and the displays do not have any USB connectors on them. (Besides the single out to console)

  • I have a 4 port generic powered hub on the rear of my Ion.  It runs keyboard, mouse, RFR receiver and a USB extension cable for use when the face panel USB port gets flaky  The Ion 6 rear USB ports have; 2 touch screens, 3 fader wings and the powered hub.  ETC Tech Services recommended the hub be powered and I've had no issues with it or the devices connected in 8 mos. of use.

And as side note and partial thread hi-jack, I posted this in March

Never followed thru due to the above work-around, but never heard anything back either.
