ETCNomad as Master

Hi!

I created a show with timecode using the ETCNomad. It works perfectly.

I'm going into a venue that has an element console. I would like to use that element console as a backup to the Nomad.

Is this even possible?

I can get the Nomad to act as a backup to the console, no problem, so the network is talking as it should.

But when I try to get the console to act as a backup to the Nomad, it just sits there saying it's looking for a Master.

  • Yes, a Nomad can be the master to an Element.

The rules don't change depending on "direction":

    • Same Eos software version installed
    • sSme library version installed
    • Set to same language
    • Same mode (i.e. Nomad needs to be in Element mode to talk to an Element
    • Dongle for your Nomad
    • Multiconsole protocol needs to be activated on the right network port.

When the console says it's looking for a master did you click {Troubleshoot}? Since this is a Master change for the console you will have to choose it from a list. When you click Troubleshoot you should see this list (in your case with just your Nomad listed).
