Cancer warning on Gadget II

What does the cancer warning on a Gadget II mean? Which chemical substances am I exposed to when using this product? I've looked here, but the list is rather long.

  • The Prop 65 warning doesn't mean that the Gadget II product will cause cancer or reproductive harm to users of the product. Rather, it indicates the presence of a chemical listed by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment potentially contributing to a person's overall lifetime risk of cancer or reproductive harm. The warning is intended to assist customers in making informed choices.
Gadget II uses third-party components that contain nickel. Nickel is widely used in electronic components due to its resistance to corrosion and wear and tear.  Nickel is frequently used to plate connectors in items such as USB ports, coax connectors, and audio jacks. Nickel has been identified as a carcinogen when in inhalant particle form in studies of prolonged exposure in industrial settings.
