Adding an Effect Within a Step-Based Effect

Hi There!

I want to add in a flicker effect to start off a step-based effect, but EOS gives me an error when I try to add an effect into "ON STATE" it gives me an error message.

Any idea of how to add an effect inside of a step-based effect?

Effects cannot be nested inside an effect.

How would I go about having a light bulb flicker and then stop flickering to then build in intensity as if it was an old and dying light bulb? I need this to run continuously and on various channels?

It's during a scene change and the amount of time in the scene change is always different so I need to be able to hit GO into the next cue whenever it is finished.
