can't change select fixtures color

Not sure I can explain this clearly but I will try.

ION XE version 3.2.10.36
Various LED fixtures in cues
Using Color Pallets as individual fixtures NOT fixture TYPE
Specifically the troubling fixtures are all 6 of Chauvet Rogue R2 Spots which are set up to link the color on the MS

I run all songs as cues and not busking.

I previously created individual cue lists for each of the 9 songs for this conference.

Once the itineraries were completed for each day, I then created individual cue lists for each day and as I created each cue for that day, every time there was a song next (example cue list 114 song) I selected cue 114/ copy to 9/6 enter (list 9 is the actual cue list for this day I am editing).

This morning they wanted to add a new song at the end of the day that I had not created a cue list for. I was limited to time so I decided to just copy a song already in today's itinerary cue list (9) that somewhat fit the new song mold. I wanted to insert it between the third from last and second from last cue in cue list 9.

I chose the second from last cue # through move to the appropriate cue number needed after I copy/paste the song.

I hen chose the first cue through the last cue of the song I wanted to copy (In this case cue 6 through 10), then copy to and entered the first cue number before the first cue moved and did so as "cue only."

example: Cue list 9 has 35 cues.

The cues I want to copy and paste are 6 through 10.

I first choose "cue 34 through" (34 &35) and "move to 40". This leaves a 5 cue gap between cue 33 and 39.

I then choose cues 6 through 10 and copy to 34 QOnly. This makes them cues 34 - 38.

Cue 34 currently has the 6 Chauvet spots as Y G Y Y G Y (left to right in the MS and live) in the cue. I want to change their colors to O R O O R O

I select the two G fixtures and select R from the color pallets. They both show as R on the MS, keeping the other 4 as Y, however the 2 remain G live

I select their group, which is all 6 of them, and select O from the color pallets and they all change to O on both the MS and live.

I select the second and fifth fixtures and pick R from the color pallets, however they remain O on both MS and live.

I select their group and pick O again and update the cue (34). They all show O on both the MS and live.

I update the cue (34) as QOnly.

I again select the second and fifth fixtures and R from the color pallets and they show R on the MS but remain O live.

I am not sure at what point this happened but the MS started showing all 6 as white and no data - I have Intensity data on them but nothing showing on the MS.

I made sure there were no effects running but don't know how to find the command that is keeping them from doing what I am describing.

I have done this over the various days of the conference as they make changes to the itineraries, with no issues but for some reason this particular song set of cues is not being nice.

I ran out of time to the copy and paste and instead copy the initial root cues of the song from it's cue list into the gap, So I had to run with what I had as all 6 fixtures orange, after repeating making them orange in the remaining 4 cues.

I am not at the venue at this time, therefore most of the numbers used are not necessarily correct. It's just a representation of the actual file. Cue list 9 is accurate however, which does not matter anyway.
