Faders accidentally unmapped

During busking we sometimes have two students working on the element lighting console simultaneously: one controls the mouse and keyboard, the other controls the faders/subs.

When utilising click-to-focus in Augment3d, shift is held down. But when a bump button is pressed at the same time (different people doing something at the same time), the fader is unmapped.

Is there a solution to this? The only thing I can think of is making a macro that re-maps all faders, but this is not ideal because you’re fixing the problem after it still happens and you have to maintain the macro if you change your faders configuration.

  • Wow, that's right. It's kind of unbelievable that I've been using Shift for years, thinking you have to hold down Shift while dragging the mouse and holding down the left mouse button.

Interestingly though, the time it takes before the light jumps to the mouse's position depends on which key you're holding down. Shift or Z makes it take about a second, while nothing or Alt clearly makes it take longer (about 2 seconds). If I am impatient and I drag the mouse too soon, I am making a blue selection window instead of using click-to-focus. Holding down Shift never suffers from this problem: the light still jumps to the mouse's position.
