Hi Everyone,
I'm still fairly new to the EOS system and learning as I go, but I have a situation I haven’t been able to find a clear answer for yet.
At our venue, we use LUMAPT8 fixtures for our sports lighting. These are controlled by Mosaic Designer 2 software, and the fixtures have a fixed zoom angle that helps spread the light evenly without hot spots.
Recently, we added an EOS controller to the setup for controlling a handful of moving heads and remote follow spots. We also hoped to use the EOS board for some added control and flexibility over the LUMAPT8 fixtures.
The issue I’m running into is this: when I take control of the LUMAPT8 from the EOS board, and either modify or home their zoom angle, the fixtures lose their proper zoom setting. The only way to restore the correct zoom is to release EOS control and reupload the Mosaic program.
What I’d really like is to be able to use the EOS board without it affecting the zoom settings on the LUMAPT8 . So far, I haven’t found a good way to do this.
Has anyone else run into this or have advice on how to prevent EOS from overwriting the Mosaic zoom settings?
Thanks in advance for any help!
