(BUG?) Font Alignment Consistency Within Symbols

I am having a really tough time getting text to align itself properly and consistently within a magic sheet symbol. This has been an issue for quite sometime, but I'm hoping it can get resolved soon. I like to use tombstones in my magic sheets but find that they take up a lot of valuable real estate, so I make my own "tombstones" in Inkscape (with "base" and "outline" layers) that are more space efficient. However, I'm having a really hard time getting the text to line up consistently within the symbol. In the attached image, the 3 symbols on the left are exactly the same to each other, with the same font, font size, and text location settings. The 3 symbols on the right are duplicates of the other 3 but I changed the channel number font to bold, which makes the number move even more. If I change a single digit channel number to a double digit channel number, the number moves within the symbol. I believe that EOS is trying to automatically align the fonts within the symbols as you change the font/font size/etc. but it's not applying those rules in a consistent and predictable way.

  • Thank you for reaching out. I'm having a hard time reproducing this with channel numbers and intensity, I can see something with labels that's maybe related.

To check if what you're seeing is related it would help to take a look at the showfile. Would you mind sharing? Either here (Reply, Insert > Image/video/file) or e-mail to eos(dot)moderator(at)etcconnect(dot)com.
